A Cairns local of 30 years, Emma is a graduate of Saint Monica’s College and James Cook University. Having had a long career in tourism, culminating in running her own travel agency here in Cairns for many years, Emma decided upon a ‘career sea-change’ into the legal profession and began training as a Lawyer, partly to allow expression of her passion for helping people, but also for the intellectual challenge it represented. Emma worked at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), instructing in the District and Supreme Courts, before graduating in 2018 with a Bachelor of Laws and Diploma of Practical Legal Training with the College of Law in 2019.
Emma was admitted to the Supreme Court in Cairns in January 2020 and then joined the Commercial Law division at O’Reilly Stevens Lawyers where she is currently the face of our conveyancing services. Scuba diving and gardening (fruit, veggies and chickens) are some of Emma’s favorite activities to do in spare time along with reading and spending fun time with family.
