Connor was educated in Queensland and graduated from James Cook University Cairns, in 2020.
In 2021, he was admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland and has started his legal career here at O’Reilly Stevens Lawyers. Although his journey into the legal world has only just begun, Connor has a broad range of experience prior to finishing his university studies.
In 2014, Connor was the President of the James Cook University Student Association which saw him interact with member of the student population and the JCU executive team. This included successfully negotiating a five year Memorandum of Understanding with Vice-Chancellor Sandra Harding, chairing student council meetings and making sure student concerns were raised with university authorities.
So that he could pay the bills that come with trying to survive while studying, Connor has had firsthand experience in the commercial sector, namely, the hospitality industry. This experience has seen him perform as a local DJ at venues in the Cairns CBD such as The Woolshed, The Pier, Gilligan’s Backpackers and XS Nightlife. Recently he has been the General Manager of both XS Nightlife and Republic RnB, ensuring both venues comply with liquor licensing laws and perform to a high level of customer service.
